2.1: Reflect on Personal Experience w/ Online Teaching and Instructional Design
2.1 Students will reflect on their own learner experiences with effective online teaching and instructional design methods.
Evidence 1: In the Fall of 2015, I completed EDU-651 – Foundations of Distance Education. We learned a lot of information about misconceptions of distance education and issues related to accessibility and design. One of our assignments was a note-card confession where we needed to reflect on our own learning experience. Here is a sample of that assignment.

In this assignment, I was able to reflect on my own understanding of distance education. I was able to reflect back on my own prejudices of distance education and how that has changed over the years. In the sciences, online courses are not valued, and I once had the same opinion. Upon taking online courses in an online program and teaching online courses, I was able to change my understanding of an entire academic area.
