4.2: Designing Online Instruction
4.2 Students will analyze learner needs to design appropriate online instruction.
Evidence 1: During the Spring of 2017, I started my Practicum Experience (EDU-670) for the program. The entire term is dedicated to designing online instruction in a professional setting. I have been an online instructor for several years and serve as a biology professor. I chose to use one of my online Microbiology courses from Spring 2017 to serve as my Practicum Experience. I spent the weeks leading up to the semester setting up the course and getting it ready. During the semester, I spent all the time teaching and grading my course, as well as, reflecting on my experience from the term.

The Practicum is a detailed course that requires a lot of work and dedication. I spent many hours not only teaching and managing the course, but also providing weekly reflections on the experience.
